I cant say if this is a good or bad product. It did exactly what was expected for 4 years, except for the safety cut off. I do not know where to find out the expected life of these pumps but it worked good for this time period. If they should last longer then it was terrible and if the time is acceptable then it was perfect. It quit working without any warning as it is in a crawl space basement and could have died earlier. I only noticed when I was under there doing something else and seen all the mold forming on my AC unit and all the water dripping from it onto the plastic. It stopped working and did not put out anything and has a safety switch but allowed the unit to work for i don't know how long but it did have a safety switch and it was functional. When I disconnected it over 1 gallon poured out of the system it was blocking and the entire unit was wet with condensation. This product cost almost 100 dollars and I read many reviews and bought a competitor unit that is blue in color and it is working now perfectly for less than half the cost.
